Writers In Writing (and other writing)
I married my husband because he is a certified, one-of-a-kind,broke-the-mould, unique guy. He doesn't have the same connection to the written word as I do but in conversation he plucks from thin air the most amazing metaphors - he has a poet's heart.
His interests run to science, history and world affairs - while I usually have my nose nestled in a book.
He is also incredibly focused and when we used to exercise together on a super-challeging bush track he would carry my bike on his shoulders up a heartbreaking hill (I was lucky to stumble up it!)
But can I just say that if he took our washing machine apart I, too, would have to hide my eyes. I am the official IKEA asembler in our house. Our kids have had bikes put together for Christmas by him and been left with a small bag of 'spare parts' at the end of it.
Having said all that - your husband is also a man after the heart of many a modern woman. How supportive and generous to make the video for you - and it definitely whets the appetitie. Can't wait to read Things Without A Name.
And Agent Zed could possibly be the coolest name ever!
